Bottle Beauty – Martha Stewart Crafts

via Martha Stewart

I’m starting to collect glass jars & bottles in hopes of recycling them for pretty little beautiful projects such as this. There are so many things you can come up with. Here’s a blog I found, the blogger was inspired by this Martha Steward project and made her own. Click on the image to get to the blog!

DIY: Bridal Car Decoration

Okay, to be honest, in my 23 years of attending weddings in Singapore, I haven’t seen any bridal car that I like. I think they kinda all look the same. I guess some people pay for renting a car with decor as well, while others use their own car and pay someone to do the decor. Then there are also people who DIY the car decor themselves – which I think is the best way to go.

This is what I like =) and will probably want to DIY myself, I must make time for it!

DIY Weddings

I’ve been site hopping looking at many different DIY wedding blogs, all the little little crafty projects makes me go goo-goo gaa-gaa. I want to DIY this! I want to DIY that! I’ve always been a crafty person myself, I love working with paper and fabric, I love pretty or cute stationery.

Oh and guess what – I’m a graphic designer (I think this might make me quite a client for any wedding vendors out there, hehe). In my job I’ve been involved in styling and art directing photo shoots from product shoots, fashion shoots to food shoots. I also do design/advertising for different kinds of clients. Confession: I am quite the control freak.

Oh and guess what again – the boy works in the video and broadcasting industry. He does motion graphics, video editing and more. He is the kind that watches a movie and while watching it probably thinking about how it was shot, who watches TV and looks at the moving graphics and think about how it was done.

Combine us both together and it might make us very fussy clients *oops*. We know quality when we see it, and we know if something is worth the money. Of course, we can’t possible DIY everything ourselves.

DIY String Chandeliers

I love this blog. There are many DIY ideas that are creative and pretty yet will not cost you a bomb. I especially love these, well, what can I say, I love hanging decos.

So pretty!! And if you want colour, just whip out a brush, or better still, spray paint! Who would have though that simple twine, glue, and balloons can make such pretty (but cheap) deco. =D

Buttons Inspiration

Love the jars of buttons, I imagine putting flowers in those jar, just one stalk or maybe a few. I should start collecting empty glass jars/bottles

Whimsical Wedding

I’ve always enjoyed crafting and I love making/buying handmade things, surfing the web at sites like etsy. I also love anything vintage and whimsical, I visit Modcloth and Anthropologie almost everyday.

Today I found another wedding that I like on StyleMePretty.com (great website by the way!). I love that it’s so whimsical and almost everything is handmade and DIY with fabric/paper – not to mention it’s so colourful too, I liiiiike!

Pretty Paper Bouquet

Paper Pom Poms! I <3

Just Married Pillows

Bride & Groom Initials – love the use of vintage books

Table Setting – so whimsical! so ME!

Dessert Bar! – it looks too pretty to touch anything

Now the challenge is how can we “Malay-fy” this — or is there even a need to?

Here’s the link to this very sweet Whimsical Wedding full of handmade DIY elements it in. Click here for even more pictures! I love the photo shoot that they did too =D

A Colourful Wedding

Pastel colours seem to be the obvious and common choice for many weddings. And alright….. the Mint & Chocolate colour scheme could turn out very pastel. By the way, I’m not a “pink-loving” girl, pastel pinks or bright fuchsia pinks, not for me.

My 2nd choice is an absolutely wonderfully colourful wedding! Very different from the first one, I know! I’ve not been to any colourful Malay wedding before. However, it is very difficult to pull off and is quite easy to look rather tacky. I already have a decorator in mind that can do a fantastic job for this. It’s TWC! They’re my favourite out of those that I’ve seen so far. If I can afford them, I’d definitely hire them in a heart beat. Dear TWC, please hire me as your client, pretty please…….?

Here’s a really beautiful wedding rehearsal (with a Mexican Theme) that I found via StyleMePretty.com. With such colours, it would make everyone feel so happy!

An Overview with Hanging Flower Poufs and Cut Out Banners
